Onion Balcony Remotion Deck

A Remotion-first pitch deck demo for growing onions in apartment balcony containers. It deliberately separates quick green/spring onion harvests from proper brown bulb onions, then uses balcony-scale permaculture structures to make the pitch visually and technically interesting. The same typed slide data drives:

  • Remotion Studio authoring
  • a live keyboard-driven pitch player
  • MP4 export
  • still cover export

Research Frame

The demo uses extension and industry sources in src/data/sources.ts. The deck makes a conservative claim: green/spring/bunching onions are the fast visible balcony crop, while brown onions are a slower, spacing-sensitive, day-length-sensitive bulb crop that needs a brighter and wider container plan.

The permaculture slide treats the balcony as infrastructure: a self-watering wicking trough for bulbs, a dense rail guild for greens, a pollinator edge, and a worm-casting nutrient loop.
