Re-checked this live just now. The scraper already correctly extracts "Brown Bin" (Flintshire's own name for the garden waste bin) whenever the council's site returns it for a given UPRN - confirmed against the test address, which gets it on a regular fortnightly-ish schedule alongside the other bins.

Flintshire's garden waste collection is a subscribed/opt-in service on their end (like several other councils), so my best guess is the original report's address simply isn't signed up for it - if that's the case there's genuinely nothing to extract, not a code gap. @MarkStocksUK's comment above actually supports this: it reads like the data is there for them, just labelled "Brown Bin" rather than "Garden Waste" - possibly the same non-issue, just a naming mix-up.

If you're still not seeing it, it would help to confirm: is your garden waste collection an active/paid subscription with the council? If so, share your UPRN or postcode + house number (happy to take it privately) and I'll dig further.

Side note: while re-checking this I did find and fix an unrelated bug in the same scraper - a schedule-notice row ("New Round - Tuesday AHP") was being incorrectly added to the bins list as if it were a real bin type: #2167

I also reside in Flintshire. I do not subscribe to the garden waste (brown bin) collection and the collections don't appear when i do a look up on the council website. I therefore do not have a brown bin entity .

For my neighbours who do subscribe, their brown bin collection dates do show on the council website. Forgive my amateur assumption, but basically if it doesn't appear on the council lookup then you don't get the entity!

Oh... And if you've recently subscribed, you have to wait up to 14 days for your subscription to show up anyway. From FCC website "Brown bin collections will only be listed for those residents who have paid and subscribed to garden waste collections. Once subscribed, please allow up to 14 days for your property to be routed on our internal systems and for it to appear on the list for your property."

I guess if you want a brown bin entity and don't pay for the garden waste service, use a subscribed neighbours UPRN details 😉.

Confirming from the code side: FlintshireCountyCouncil.py on current master already correctly extracts "Brown Bin" generically from whatever bin types the council's page lists for a UPRN, and the *New Round* schedule-notice bug from #2167 is fixed here too. There's no per-bin-type filtering or allowlist in the scraper that would explain garden waste being dropped - if it's on the council's page for a given UPRN, it comes through.

That lines up with @robbrad's and @ajroberts67's read in the thread: this looks like a subscription/opt-in gap on Flintshire's own site rather than a scraper bug. Leaving this open as-is pending @KiloDelta0's confirmation rather than closing it myself, since that's not my call to make.
