Gaugex — Loudness & Metering Suite

Gaugex

Know exactly how loud your mix is — and whether it's ready for release.

Gaugex is a loudness meter for your master bus. It measures LUFS, true peak, dynamic range, and stereo image against ITU-R BS.1770-4 / EBU R128, then tells you at a glance whether your track hits the target for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and more. It listens transparently by default — the signal passes straight through untouched.

Fully signed and notarized for macOS as AU, VST3, and Standalone.

🚀 Download & Install

  1. Go to the latest release.
  2. Download Gaugex_Installer.pkg.
  3. Double-click it and follow the installer. Because it's signed & notarized by Apple, it installs cleanly — no security warnings, no right-click, no "Open Anyway."
  4. Restart your DAW and rescan plug-ins.

Full guide: remiblaze.com/support.

📊 What It Measures

  • LUFS Loudness — Integrated (gated), Short-Term (3 s), and Momentary (400 ms), per ITU-R BS.1770-4 with exact K-weighting and absolute/relative gating.
  • True Peak — 4× oversampled inter-sample peak detection in dBTP, plus sample peak in dBFS.
  • Loudness Range (LRA) — EBU R128 / TECH 3342 dynamic-range measurement (10th–95th percentile of gated short-term loudness).
  • PLR / Crest Factor — Peak-to-Loudness Ratio to gauge how much dynamic headroom remains.
  • RMS Level — Average level readout in dB.
  • Platform Targets — Spotify (−14), Apple Music (−16), YouTube (−14), Club/DJ (−6), Broadcast (−23 LUFS), or a custom target — with a pass/fail check and a Gain-to-Target readout showing exactly how many dB to move.
  • Loudness History — Scrolling graph of loudness over time.
  • Stereo & Phase — Phase-correlation meter, mono-compatibility delta (stereo vs. mono LUFS), and low-end phase correlation.
  • Spectrum Analyzer — Real-time FFT display of your mix's frequency balance.
  • Low-End Energy — Ratio of low-frequency energy to total, for checking bass balance.

Optional Level Tools (off / neutral by default — transparent when unused)

  • Gain Trim — Adjust level in place from −24 to +24 dB.
  • ISP Ceiling — Opt-in −1 dBTP true-peak ceiling for safe delivery.

Target Presets

15 built-in target/mastering presets (Streaming Ready, Apple Music Master, YouTube Master, Broadcast, Club Dominance, and more) to jump straight to the right platform target.
