Summary
This is a documentation-only courtesy PR to help users landing on
makerbase-mks/mks-wifi-pluginin 2024+.The repository (v1.0.2, SDK 7.x) does not run on modern Cura 5.x
releases, and issues appear to be disabled here. Meanwhile a very
active community fork exists at
PrintMakerLab/mks-wifi-plugin
(v1.4.x, SDK 8.x, Cura 5.x compatible) which most users end up needing.
Recently a preview-thumbnail regression on Cura 5.13 was root-caused and
fixed in the PrintMakerLab fork:
PR #421 /
issue #420.
Users who arrive at this repo first tend to spend hours before
discovering the active fork exists.
Change
README.md: add a short "Note for Cura 5.x users" callout at the toppointing to the active fork and to the Cura 5.13 thumbnail fix.
Zero code changes. If maintainers prefer different wording (or would
rather archive the repo entirely), completely happy to adjust or close
this PR.
