Policies, guidelines, and equipment inventory for the IE² shared laboratory spaces (Onyx 368 and Pacific 327).
- Shared Lab Guidelines — user guidelines for access, conduct, safety, and equipment use
- Pacific 327 Inventory — categorized inventory for the BSL1 molecular lab
- Onyx 368 Inventory — equipment inventory for the field processing lab
Onyx 368 — Field Processing Lab
A shared "dirty lab" intended for sorting and initial processing of field-collected samples. Limited molecular work may be performed here. This is not a designated molecular lab.
- Biological Safety Cabinet
- Molecular fridge and freezer (-20°C)
- Centrifuge and bead mill
- Benchtop stations 1–8 with shared pipettes and consumables
Pacific 327 — BSL1 Molecular Laboratory
The primary IE² shared molecular laboratory, designated for BSL1 work including nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR, and related procedures.
- Full suite of molecular equipment (qPCR, thermocyclers, centrifuges, gel boxes, KingFisher)
- Multiple benches (A–F) with dedicated and shared equipment
- Fume hoods, freezers, and cold storage
- Detailed consumables and reagent inventory by bench location
Each inventory file is organized by lab location and includes bench-level specific locations to help you find what you need before entering the lab. Please review the Shared Lab Guidelines before using either space. If you notice items that are missing, misplaced, or need to be added, please contact Mark Currey.
