What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
I completed the assignment file with responses for both parts : A) survey design for Scenario 1; B) Survey evaluation of 2018 GSS by Stats Can
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
Through Part A, I practiced translating a research need into sampling decisions, including justifying a stratified random sampling strategy based on the structure of the population of interest. I also practiced coming up with questions that are effective and neutral. Through Part B, I learned how to locate and interpret official survey documentation.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
None.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
The main challenge was locating and interpreting the full user guide for the GSS Cycle 33. Since it was a long document with many technical terms, it was challenging to understand what I was reading and piece everything together.
How were these changes tested?
I reviewed my answers and confirmed all required components were present.
