Create a VM on ThinkCloud

  1. Log into the platform.
  2. Select the Applications tab, then select Virtual Machines tab. Click New VM, a window will be popped up.
  3. Enter / Select your configuration on the window. For storage section, select 通用存储 in Storage Policy tab. For networking section, select public-cn-bj in network tab, select VMXNET3 in Network Adapter Type tab, select IP Pool in IP Mode tab.
  4. Power on the VM, install OS. After installation, type ifconfig, you will find no network interface available, we need an extra step.
  5. Shut down guest OS in Actions of the VM. Click the VM for detailed configuration. In Guest OS Customization tab, click EDIT and enable guest customization. Click Power On and Force Recustomization in Actions. The network interface is configured after this step. The VM is ready to work.
