I teach researchers how to work better with their tools, their data, and their notes.
Certified Carpentries instructor, currently training to teach the trainers. I run workshops and mentor early-career researchers — mostly open science, R, and personal knowledge management. Before this: eight years in academia, a PhD in Behavioral Ecology and a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior. These days I work in scientific communication in medical technology.
I also draw, and most of what I make lands somewhere between teaching and illustration.
