๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป Hi, I'm Bruno Alves

I'm a Software Engineer and Software Architect focused on backend development, distributed systems, identity, authentication, authorization, and application security.

My journey into technology began after several years working in logistics. Changing careers was a major challenge, but it allowed me to pursue something I genuinely enjoy: using logic, creativity, and technology to solve complex problems.

I started my career in technology as a Frontend Instructor at Trybe, where I helped students develop their skills in JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, SQL, and software development fundamentals. This experience strengthened not only my technical knowledge but also my ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and support the growth of other developers.

Later, I worked as a Software Architect at XP Inc., contributing to the design and evolution of internal platforms and security solutions. My work included:

  • Designing authentication and authorization standards for internal and external APIs
  • Building corporate RBAC and Machine-to-Machine access solutions
  • Working with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Auth0, Microsoft Entra ID, and federated identity
  • Developing secure access workflows for production environments
  • Supporting the migration from long-lived secrets to federated authentication
  • Designing and maintaining distributed systems and microservices
  • Improving developer experience through internal platforms and reusable abstractions

I have experience with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, C#, .NET, Python, React, MongoDB, SQL, Kafka, Docker, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, New Relic, and KQL.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computing at UFRRJ, expanding my knowledge in mathematics, algorithms, logic, and computational problem-solving.

I believe software development combines creativity and logical thinking. I am always looking to improve my technical skills, learn new technologies, share knowledge, and build solutions that are secure, maintainable, and useful.

"No matter how you live your life, your intelligence will defend you better than a sword. Keep it sharp."
