Identified a performance bottleneck in high-density unique random number generation due to rejection sampling collisions (the Coupon Collector's problem). Implemented a hybrid approach: - Low density (< 50%): Retain Set-based rejection sampling for memory efficiency. - High density (>= 50%): Implement Sparse Fisher-Yates shuffle using a Map for guaranteed O(count) time complexity. Performance impact (999,999 numbers in a 1,000,000 range): - Logic execution: ~377ms - Total browser time: ~7.96s -> ~2.85s (limited by DOM string processing) Verified correctness and performance with Playwright.
