Why

Branch protection on this repo currently requires the status check named exactly All tests pass. Requiring individual or legacy check names couples branch protection to the CI matrix: rename a job and the required check silently no longer exists, blocking every PR.

The org is standardizing every repo on one stable aggregator check named Required checks pass. This PR renames the existing gate job (all-tests-pass -> required-checks-pass, check context All tests pass -> Required checks pass) to that convention.

The branch ruleset is being updated in the same pass to require the new check, so this PR must go green on the new gate before merge.

What stays the same

  • Gate coverage is identical: needs: [test], same as before (the workflow has only the one real job).
  • No action versions, permissions, or unrelated CI changed. Top-level permissions: contents: read was already in place.

Branch protection currently requires the check named "All tests pass",
which couples the ruleset to this workflow's specific job naming. The
org is standardizing every repo on a single stable aggregator check
named "Required checks pass", so rulesets never silently break when CI
jobs are renamed or the matrix changes.

The branch ruleset is being updated in the same pass to require the new
check, so this PR must go green on the new gate before merge. Coverage
is unchanged: the gate still needs [test], same as the old gate.

Warning

Review limit reached

You’ve reached a temporary PR review limit under our Fair Usage Limits Policy.

Your recent review volume is higher than typical usage, so adaptive limits are currently applied.

Next review available in: 34 minutes

Enable usage-based reviews in Billing to review now. Otherwise, wait until the next included review is available.
You're only billed for reviews past your plan's rate limits ($0.25/file).

How can I continue?

After more reviews become available, a review can be triggered using the @coderabbitai review command as a PR comment. Alternatively, push new commits to this PR.

To avoid repeated limits, reduce automatic review volume by pausing incremental auto-reviews earlier, using label-based review opt-in, excluding WIP or generated PR titles, or requesting reviews manually when the PR is ready. If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews.

How do review limits work?

CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability.

For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window.

Please refer docs for additional details.

Closing: this repo is a git-subtree force-push mirror of TryGhost/Themes, so editing .github/workflows/test.yml here doesn't stick — the next subtree publish force-overwrites it from packages/<theme>/ in the monorepo.

The CI-gate rename (All tests passRequired checks pass) is being done at the source in TryGhost/Themes#559, which updates both this repo's mirrored test.yml and the monorepo's own gate. This repo's branch-protection ruleset already requires Required checks pass, and the deploy-key ruleset bypass used by the subtree publish has been restored. No action needed here.
