# Distinct Roles of Deep and Superficial Cortical Layers in Tone Prediction, Comparison, and Adaptation in Human Auditory Cortex

This dataset contains 7 Tesla fMRI and anatomical MRI data from human participants listening to stochastic tone sequences with varying predictability and repetition structure. The study investigates laminar-specific contributions of auditory cortex to predictive and adaptive processes using model-based analyses of voxel-wise, frequency-tuned responses.

Data include:
- MP2RAGE anatomical scans (UNI, INV1, INV2)
- High-resolution functional runs (population receptive-field mapping, stochastic tone sequences, localizers)

All data were collected at Scannexus (Maastricht, Netherlands) using a 7 T Siemens MAGNETOM system with a 32-channel head coil.
