! Style 'sectioning-base' is not a sectioning style

I need to add a title to the table of contents, but I don't want any styles applied to it, however, when I set it no none or just write the command without a style options, it triggers an error too.

I imagined that sectioning-base was a working style since it's stated in the docs as such.

It is a working style, in the (default) inheritance tree. Just not a sectioning style indeed, but a common base for usual paragraphing in all derived sectioning styles (= handing the paragraph indents).

But the default styling and inheritance can be entirely modified. (Well, though #89 could be interesting for even more ease of customization and re-use).

I don't see any bug here.

Nope, it's clearly stated it's a paragraph style:

A typical use for this style -- in French documents (at least), I configure it as:

sectioning-base:
  style:
    paragraph:
      after:
        indent: true
      before:
        indent: false

(The default has after indent false, i.e. the English convention, but in most French books, paragraph indents are not cancelled after a section title.)

Probably. I dunno what you are trying to solve with a "void" style. You can certainly add a custom style to your YAML style file, and use it. The paradigm is a bit like CSS (without the "cascading" part, with an inheritance scheme closer to SCSS/SASS) in the HTML world, there are many ways to achieve the same result with the basic blocks.
