ansible-role-virtualenvwrapper

An Ansible Role that installs and configures virtualenvwrapper.

Requirements

The following tools are required:

  • pip a tool for installing and managing Python packages.

Role Variables

Available variables are listed below, along with default values (see defaults/main.yml):

  • virtualenvwrapper_version = 4.3.1 - The version of virtualenvwrapper that will be installed.

  • virtualenvwrapper_shell_rc_file = "{{ lookup('env', 'HOME') }}/.{{ lookup('env', 'SHELL') | replace('/bin/','') }}rc" - The shell's configuration file for which virtualenvwrapper variables will be set.

  • virtualenvwrapper_venvs_home = "{{ lookup('env', 'HOME') }}/.virtualenvs" - The path to place your virtual environements (sets WORKON_HOME env variable).

  • virtualenvwrapper_override_python = no - Tells virtualenv not to look for python executable in $PATH, but set VIRTUALENVWRAPPER_PYTHON instead

  • virtualenvwrapper_venvs_python = /usr/lib.python - What to set VIRTUALENVWRAPPER_PYTHON to override_python is true

  • virtualenvwrapper_venvs_project = "{{ lookup('env', 'HOME') }}/Devel" - Sets PROJECT_HOME to a path of your choice
