The shared, public board of approved projects for the MRC build-your-own-SFM final project (Phase 0). Browse it to see who is building what, avoid duplicated effort, and find collaborators.
Not a competition. No grades. This is a collaborative effort.
- Write your proposal using the template:
PROPOSAL.mdin the SFM template repo — a ~1-page scoping doc (your question or engineering problem, the data, how you'll evaluate, any wet-lab component). - Send it to Sai on Slack for feedback — by the proposal deadline on the course page (20 July 2026 for the current cohort). Sai reviews it privately: early feedback, a scope/data sanity check, and an overlap check against the other groups.
- Once approved, post it here — open a new Discussion in the Proposals category, title it with your project name (e.g. tcrSFM — TCR–peptide-MHC retrieval), and paste your proposal as the first post. 👉 Post an approved proposal
- One thread per project. The Discussions list is the registry of all approved projects — comment, share ideas, and coordinate or merge groups where it makes sense.
- Keep a copy of the approved proposal as
PROPOSAL.mdin your own project repo, so it travels with your code.
This board is Phase 0 of the four-phase project: Propose → Build → Audit → Submit. Start at START_HERE in the template repo for the full flow. Finished SFMs are published into the MRC-Open SFM Repository and become citable artifacts future cohorts build on.
