SAP Basis Course

Chapter 1:Creation of Role:

In SAP, we use T-code for roles creation type:PFCG and type name convention.
For example

zm_master_role and zd_derive_role

Limit
30 characteristics

There are serveral types of roles in SAP/S4.

1.Single Role

2.Composite role(group of role)

3.Fiori Role(Develop by Abap Develop)

But now a days, Only two roles are working in industry.

1.Master Roles
2.Derive Roles

Master Roles: Contain non-org values and authorization object and Transaction.

Derive Role :Derived role is basically derived from master which contain only org values and assign to the user.**

Execution of Role in SAP**

Execute by PFCG

Benefit of Master derived role

1.Multiple company / Multiple plants

2.Single company / Multiple Plants

3.For maintain large scale company

4.HR – Salaries

5.Finance – GL, accounts etc.

Master and derive role for example in SAP are attachment is given below.

Chapter 2:Direct and indirect assignment

Direct Assignment

Roles are directly assign to user or you can open any user and copy role(From the sheet or provide files)

Indirect Assignment

Roles are assigned to position

Step

Goto > Setting > Enable/ Click Complete view (Organizational Management and workflow)
Type or search Derive role and click on user tabs, click on Organizational mgnt :” Indirect user assignments ok”.

Chapter 3:Download and upload roles

Download roles

Download single or multiple we simply go via PFCG and go to utilities menu option and click on Mass Download and click on multiplication selection option and paste those roles that are required to download and click execute button.

Note: after popup screen will disappear to show such roles that u download or save in excel sheet.

Upload roles

If we upload such roles simple go via PFCG and click on Role menu and click to upload to upload the roles.
Note: after popup screen will disappear and upload those roles or save in excel sheet.

Chapter 4 :User creation

In SAP, there are few step for creation a user.

First, we login to SAP.

Second, execute t-code which is Su01

Suggestion a name of user:zoh12po

Click on create button

Fill all required field for username/Last name, password and assign the role of particular user.

After creating a user, we select a user which has been created and click on change button

Below mention ss are given below.

Chapter 5:Client copy and Host file

Sometime, while consultant on client premises, they require a host to maintain in consultant laptop or user/end user so, they need that type of host file to maintain in they laptop

Directory in Window

Path: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Client copy
Transferring client specific data within the same system / between different system.

Purpose
Why we need client copy?
For a testing purpose

Host file
Host file is an operating system files that map a hostname to IP address. It is a plain text file.

Consultant Issue

In SAP, If you are SAP Basis Consultant, there are many issue in that line. Because ABAP dump or any type of dumps that are relevant for SAP Basis Consultant because SAP Basis Consultant is the backbone of SAP.

1st Issue:SAP S/Hana: Automatic Workflow Customizing

First logon to SAP

Second type T-code: SWU3

There are four or five step, so need to configuration but make sure if error will resolve via concern consultant (our case MDG/GRC/FI/MM so, leave if concern consultant told us issue resolve.

Automatics workflow control

1.:Edit Runtime environment

Create user: SAP_WFRT and roles: Remove: Z_RFC, additionally, SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_SERV_USER_PLV01

But condition failed, so we need copy both roles

i. SAP_BC_BMT_WFM_SERV_USER_PLV01
ii. Z_RFC

2. Edit definition environment
a. Edit prefix (not our work SAP Basis)
Note: Not our work (because number range define by Functional consultant)
Note: Concern Consultant for check SWU3

4 Classify task as general**

1. Processing of Replies to Appointment Request

2. Classify Scenario Tasks (Flexible Workflow) as General

Execution

Automatic/Manual

Function:- For Flexible Workflows all task which are used by the workflows and the workflows itself must be declared as a general task.

• Use "Redo Automatic Customizing" to set General Task for all Flexible Workflows automatically or
• Use "Execute Activity" to maintain possible agents for all tasks in dialog:

1. Position the cursor on the task/workflows Attributes...

2. Choose General Task.

3. Choose Transfer to close the popup and go Back

4.. Repeat it with next task ..

In Dialog mode only tasks without general flag will be displayed.

Note: After this activity (Use "Redo Automatic Customizing" to set General Task for all Flexible Workflows automatically or)
Classify Scenario Tasks (Flexible Workflow) as General – Green

Chapter:Issue SMQ2

First Logon to the SAP
then, execute SMQ2 on screen

For monitor qRFC This transaction to monitor the status of LUW in the outbound queue and we can also start or execute queues if any queue is not ready.

1. First open SAP
2. Execute transaction code: SMQ2

Entire dependency analysis and waiting queues only enter X on both fields.

Chapter: SMTS(For TR Purpose)

First logon to the SAP

Second execute/type on screen

Stms_import

Stms_import describe the description of TR in a list. System Administrator can and check all TR within a list.

Indication(indication sign by Color/Shape)

Orange(diamond/triangle): Warning : there is one or more object issue in TR

Red Error(Triangle) : There is some issue in TR we need to concern with ABAP or relevant consultant.

Green(Square): Rectangle shape: Successfully imported TR in system

Red(blast type):Rectangle current shape: TR Blast

Blue(Diamond): There is some steps require for import TR

Below mention Snapshot show the indication in stms_import

Use of Stms_import

• We can easily move TR via menu Extra-Activate Inactive Request (Manually TR)

• If any TR is stuck in charm so, we can go to Stms_import menu import Request

why we need Stms_import?

1. If any TR cannot be import in SAP charm we can import through in SAP GUI via t-code Stms_import.

2. For manually or Que(list) import TR.

3. Adding TR from Co/Data files from Susi Linux via WinSAP tools.(for example Development-QA-Production)

Note: Now a days, SAP Charm is running in many industries so, we can move TR (updating or any issue/ABAP program/Consultant requirement) from one TR (making of Request for TR (Development (2) to Production step(9))

Enable now in SAP

Introduction

Web-based application that user can interact and the efficiency of software programs across enterprise with e-learning content development that works for employees. Consultant/end user can also record recording using Enable now software via top option Record.

Creating a user

  First create a user via using enable now credential

Assignment User

Each assignment has different purpose and reason, so ensure that necessary assignment for each user. Select the user and select the necessary assign you want to grant and then save it. Make a content available to users or Roles.

Learner 

Learner can watch/demonstrate one by one all course that abz_user can assign it.

**Note:**Abz_user will know that test has been cleared or failed. So, he/she can judge whether the user can perform task or not.

SAP Licenses update

Steps

First logon on SAP GUI – My Case for QAS

SAP Logon screen

Type Slicence – T Code

Then check if there any license is still pending

Click on above URL/Page

Click on arrow system

Show filter and type SID: QAS

And selection hardware key and click download

And download file: check directory and upload via install license

Testing user

The purpose of testing user is ensuring that SAP Basis/any user won’t execute SAP basis t-code such as Su01, PFCG etc. Because only SAP basis user can execute that t-code because segregation of duties and authorization.

Copy User

1. Make a sheet (Excel Sheet) of all users who are using SAP login within a company.
2. Second login to SAP login
3. Third, after login has been successfully.
4. Type t-code such as Su01, such as user: P_CO

5. Type and changed the user from P_CO to P_CO_Copy
6. Click and view user

7. Click on the Logon Data
8. Change the Password such as: Sap12345678
9. After changed !the password and login to P_CO_Copy with his/her password.
10. Click save or Shortcut: Ctrl + S.

Verification user:logon user via their credentials

Check/Login User

1. After login to user: P_CO_COPY
2. Check all basis t-code such as SU01, PFCG SCC4, SCC3 etc.
3. If any t-code is existing or execute then notice and copy that user and checked their roles on user tabs and profile tabs.
   a. Copy that roles and profile too
   b. Ask from HOD/Lead and if he says remove that roles and profile
   c. You should remove and noticed that roles and profiles.

Note: This activity is basically performed to check all user within a company for execute SAP basis/SAP basis user T-code. If any user executes SAP Basis t-code specially, that can be alert for SAP Basis user. Because different modules users can perform task which cannot be assigned to be.

RFC in SAP

Introduction

It basically connection between SAP system It can be function to be executed in a remote system. Whole series of different RFC variants, each of which has different properties and is used for a specific purpose.

Requirement

Before creating RFC we need to require such things

1)Target Host(where RFC should call it)

2. User and password (Where RFC call via that user) and you can also login user and password to target system to login for check and verification if no user is exit for RFC, SAP Basis Administration should be created and apply ZD_RFC role(or standard role)

3)Client Name(number)

4)System where RFC (should be created)

RFC should create GSQ/GSP/GSD(SYSTEM ID) Name (client)200(Number client number)

Test

Test: There are two types of testing for checking RFC

i. Connection test

ii. Go to Utility > Test> Authorization test

Steps

1st logon to SAP

2nd type t-code :sm59

Enter your RFC requirement target host and their port.

Enter your User and password details via logon through RFC test step
