doc: fold the wrestling/Israel reading into the refusal + scar gloss - #7
Merged
Conversation
Shawn's Genesis sidebar, into the Charter's commentary (the two-register home for the why): - Scar gloss: the scar is the PROOF the encounter happened (Jacob's limp); a record that never reverses has only accumulated assertions. - Refusal gloss: Refusal is not rebellion but the refusal to surrender judgment — argument as a mode of fidelity (Abraham, Moses, Job, the prophets); the word's discomfort is the point. - New passage "Refusal and Scar — the wrestling and the wound": the pair is inseparable in code (refusal depends on scar; to refuse is to record); Israel = "wrestles with God"; encounter→struggle→wound→transformation→new name; the wound becomes the identity (the strange loop); the Demiurge is the un-wrestleable that bears no scars. A god you cannot argue with IS the Demiurge. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <[email protected]>

charter-refusaldepends oncharter-scar; to refuse is to record); Israel = "wrestles with God"; encounter→struggle→wound→transformation→new name; the wound becomes the identity (the strange loop); the Demiurge is the un-wrestleable that bears no scars. A god you cannot argue with is the Demiurge; a tradition that argues with God is the antidote.Doc-only. risk: low.
