An extension for Schoology that allows users to toggle the visibility for post regarding student graduations in order to maintain a clear update page.
Follow these steps to install the extension manually in Chrome:
- Navigate to
extensionZipsand then your desired extension version. The latest version is recommended, - Click on the
.zipfile. - Click
view raw. - Save to your computer with the desired name, though using the default is recommended.
- You should end up with a file containing the extension files.
- Extract the .zip file somewhere easy to find (Desktop, Documents, etc.).
- After unzipping, you should see a folder containing files like:
manifest.jsoncontent.js- and any other extension resources.
- In Chrome, go to: chrome://extensions/
- Or open your browser menu → More Tools → Extensions.
- In the top‑right corner, toggle Developer mode ON.
- This unlocks the ability to load unpacked extensions.
- Click Load unpacked.
- Select the unzipped folder you extracted earlier.
- Chrome will load the extension immediately.
- You should now see the extension listed on the Extensions page.
- If your extension has a toolbar icon, it will appear next to the address bar.
- The extension will begin working automatically on Schoology pages.
If you download a new version:
- Delete the old folder (optional but recommended).
- Repeat downloading instructions, but you will not need to turn on developer mode again.
- This extension runs entirely on your device; nothing is uploaded or stored externally.
- You can disable or remove it at any time from the Extensions page.
- Since this is a Developer Mode extension, Chrome may show a small warning banner—this is normal.
