The AlpineMaps.org application does not share any private data like GPS position or device identificator with anybody. No such data leaves your device.
The application does request data tiles from our servers (containing elevation, photo and label data), from which it would be possible to infer which areas you are looking at. It also forwards your search term's to openstreetmap's servers in order to resolve the search query to a location.
