Is or will there be an import possibility analog to the export possibility #2?

I would love to know also if this is an option, since my phone manufacturer has withdrawn their own data transfer app in lieu of Google's, which didn't copy my Wi-Fi networks over from my old phone and can't be run again after the phone has been set up. I'm otherwise stuck with 500 Wi-Fi networks on my old phone and two on my new one!

I talked a while with my AI of choice and it stated that it is impossible to import Wi-Fi networks in bulk without a rooted phone.

Shizuku grants your apps the shell identity (UID “shell”) on Android, which is enough to call the privileged getPrivilegedConfiguredNetworks() API for reading saved Wi-Fi credentials. However, adding or importing networks in bulk requires system-level permissions that the shell user does not possess.

However, there might be a workaround.
There is the API ACTION_WIFI_ADD_NETWORKS that allows adding up to five Wi-Fi networks at a time with user confirmation.
So the import might be split in batches of five networks at a time. Having to press Accept 20 times in a row for 100 networks is cumbersome, but way more comfortable than adding 100 networks manually via QR codes.

My friend ended up writing an app for me that allowed me to use the JSON file from my old phone to import the networks to a new one. It was tedious, even knowing in advance what I was letting myself in for with the number of networks I was importing, but I'm happier now knowing that I have access to those networks again. My friend's app was very barebones since it was only written for me. His app bunched the networks into batches of five before pushing them to the API, which would be an opportunity to write in a progress bar if you were to incorporate this functionality into your app. If you really worry about lengthy imports, you could even add a way to save one's progress through a JSON file so it can be completed in multiple sessions, and could also provide an option to choose which networks to import.
