HYWE is a research project and experimental computational spatial design environment for exploring architectural spatial configurations through relational topology, hierarchy, sequence, and deterministic computation.

This Wiki is the documentation and research reference for HYWE.

HYWE consists of an interactive web application and the computational engine that powers it:

  • HYWE Web App (hywe.in) — Interactive spatial design environment.
  • HYWE Engine (repo.hywe.in) — Computational engine and open-source implementation.
  • HYWE Wiki (wiki.hywe.in) — Technical documentation and research reference.
  • HYWE Data (data.hywe.in) — Structured spatial training data.

Rather than beginning with fixed geometry, HYWE explores how programmatic intent may emerge through hierarchy, adjacency, sequence, and relational structure. It provides a computational foundation from which an alternative design methodology may emerge.

The architectural reasoning is old. The computational path is different. HYWE makes relational architectural logic executable, allowing relationships to be the source representation before being realized geometrically.
