Balena etcher is not good to use or recommend to anyone and hasn't been for a long time. https://web.archive.org/web/20250829230423/https://tails.net/news/rufus/index.en.html Instead readme should suggest Rufus for windows, or Pi Imager or the many other easy to use options on Linux.

Just extract the disk.raw from the image.gz zip, etchdroid works fine with raw disk.raw images.

Rufus for windows, etchdroid for android, and Fedora Media Writer for linux are my go-to's.

I didn't have any issues actually installing Armada at all, and I don't even use Windows, I'm just making this suggestion as I think it's the most prudenht thig for the project considering the reality of what balena etcher is and what the company behind it does.
