Sink names in Playback tab are useless

In the Playback tab, I can send the output of a given process to different sinks. The sink picker shows the same name for all the sinks: sof-hda-dsp:

Indeed, there's a single underlying DSP, but with different routes (Speakers, HDMI1, HDMI2, etc):

I had a similar problem, so maybe inspect your sinks with wpctl and figure out which property would render more nicely?

Please do share. We might be able to change the default naming scheme so that it handles this sanely.
