Storing credentials in gitignored files, `credentials` package instead of commands?

It is way too easy for me to share my wifi credentials inadvertently. I've already doxxed my credentials a few times on slack. Can we go the cyw43439 route and instead have non-included files for storing credentials?

Also kind of a pain to edit long commands due to ldflags usage.
