Compatibility with Logamatic 4121 #142

Description

@hag-pat

Hi, thanks for this great project!

I'm planning to connect a Buderus Logamatic 4121 to Home Assistant / Loxone and was wondering if the KM271-WiFi board would work with my controller.

My setup:

  • Controller: Logamatic 4121 (nameplate: R4121 S37)
  • According to Buderus' compatibility catalog, this controller uses a "Digital (BF-Bus)" interface in combination with the MEC2 unit — the same bus type listed for the Logamatic 2107.

From what I've read, the KM271 module and this project were originally designed and tested for the Logamatic 2107 / HS-2105. Since the 4121 uses the same BF-Bus (rather than EMS), I wanted to ask:

Has anyone tested this board with a 4000-series controller (4121/4122/4126) specifically?
Is the 3964R protocol / telegram structure expected to be identical between the 2107 and the 4000 series, or are there known differences?
Physically, does the board connect the same way (same connector/pin header) on the 4121's CM431 controller module?

Any experience or pointers would be much appreciated before I order the hardware. Happy to report back and help test if no one has tried this combination yet.

Thanks!
