Dear John,
I've played Glider for countless hours as a kid. I recently remembered it and it seemed a great idea to try and reimplement it for the Apple II, as for some reason my hobby is learning 6502 assembly in 2025.
I've made good progress and I think my game will be releasable at some point. Before that happens, though, I wanted to check in with you to make sure you're OK with my use of the name Glider for this game - precisely, I plan to name it "Glider for Apple II".
I could change it to something like Gllider (the ll being sometimes used as a reference to the "II" in Apple II) but I would much prefer, if that's OK with you, to keep the original name in this tribute.
Also, thanks from the 30 years-past me for the awesome hours of play!
If you are interested in knowing more about my implementation, I have been documenting my progress on this Mastodon thread: https://piaille.fr/@colin_mcmillen/114018657026113835
