Request for code for esp32c3 mini and example comm with Sigrok

First of all, I have to say a big thank you for this project—it looks amazing.
I understand the BOM and the STL files for printing, but I’m completely lost when it comes to configuring the Wi-Fi, creating a REST API for the ESP32-C3, and getting it to communicate with Sigrok.

Would it be possible to create a short how-to and example code to upload to the ESP32-C3 for dummies (not completely, just the main steps)?

there's a software component that I have not released yet, but am hoping to get committed, here, shortly. it has my API to create restful web interfaces, save/recall config data from eeprom/flash and some other infrastructure stuff.

I'll update this thread once that other project is released.

talking to the DMM meter would be an application that uses that API (that I'm calling 'swifi' for simple wifi, although its grown into a lot more than just an abstract wifi/web library).

I will try to get something posted this week. my old code is quite out of date with my own current api's and so I cant even build my old code anymore ;)

I have a class (.cpp .h) and a lib that might be enough. so I'll either get that much ready or the whole app, depending on time.

I have some working code for the unit as-shown (with lcd display).

latetly, I have been using some tft displays and for a dmm that might be left on for a long time, you dont really want oled and its pixel burn. and it would be helpful to have a larger color display (lack of backlight is one negative about this dmm model).

cpu will probably be esp32-wroom in some form or another. those perform well (and fast) on spi tft displays.

once I have that working, I'll post a link to the firmware for everyone to test.

Sounds great. For my project I plan to use some nixie tubes and some vintage led bubbles display, so I don't plan to use the spi tft display. Although I'll probably set one up just to have it for debugging and as an extra tool.

you should be able to adapt the code.

(I used to build nixie clocks and even had a nixie display for an audio preamp. its cool. careful of burn-in on unused digits)

Two updates:

The arduino lib (tested on esp8266 and esp32, likely to work on 8bit chips, too) for the DMM:

And a sub-library that this one uses to convert engineering notation to decimal. I'm still not done giving output display format options and sometimes you may want in eng format and sometimes in decimal. But the conversion is there if you want to start with it.

These are just libs; the ES lib calls the eng-to-dec lib so to start off, install both into the arduino library area.

There was not a test routine but I'll scrounge out the relevant bits from my graphic app (which will be ready to post soon, in its full form) so that will give an example of how to call the ES chip api.
