Java support?

how do i run java programs? because it doesn't run when i click run.
do i need to install a plugin? if so, how?

go download the latest java development kit from https://www.oracle.com/in/java/technologies/downloads/ , this is for my country , maybe oracle has different site for yours .
after the package downloads install it
install VScode or intellij idea community edition (both of them are okay although intellij is more used by java devs )
both IDEs will detect jdk and you can now run any java program
(be sure to install the extensions in case of VScode)

you can do that in terminal write- javac filename

you still need to have a jdk installed , run sudo snap install openjdk , then confirm for linux(debian based)

yes true these are some basic rules. If you're not doing that then you can use online compilers for java ofc.
