Idea: add to list for `repeat-complex-command`

Currently, embark doesn't save information about the last executed command in Emacs lists (I believe). For example, I use embark to describe some variable I'm changing, then do some modifications, then I want to rerun the command, I have to go back to the variable to rerun embark again.

Is this something that should be part of embark?

Hmm, I thought that the point of the issue is mostly about storing the selected variable in the history. But maybe I simply don't understand what the issue is about.

From the thread, I believe #785 addresses embark on minibuffer completion targets, wheras this focuses on embark when invoked on targets outside of the minibuffer.
