Currently, the DMX Mode is the entry point into the GDTF fixture type. If a Speaker needs to be selected via MVR, then it is would currently be selected via "DMX Mode" (GDTF Mode in MVR).
Possibilities:
- leave it as is - full compatibility, but strange naming for non-lighting people
- add "Audio Mode" - this is something that is the least desirable, as it prevents a moving head with a speaker and requires new "xyzMode" in the future for some xyz device.
- rename to a device neutral GDTF Mode - an incompatible change. For a transitional period, both names (DMXMode, GDTFMode) could be supported. Everybody, including the libMVRgdtf would need to update their software. The libMVRgdtf can be updated and can support both. Renaming it to GDTF Mode would be the least obtrusive change as it would require no changes in MVR and can cover any device.
