.NET Framework images have been rebuilt and published to address a remote code execution exploit in the Windows Print Spooler service known as “PrintNightmare”, as documented in CVE-2021-34527. No .NET Framework binaries have been changed with this update. This is just updating the .NET Framework images to be based on the newly updated Windows images which addresses the vulnerability.
Again, the Windows Server Core* images for .NET have been updated across all supported versions of .NET Framework. This is the same set of image tags that would be updated on a typical Patch Tuesday servicing release.
* Updates for Windows Server Core version 2004 images are still pending. Windows Server Core version 2004 images are now updated.
