Current Behavior

the template has two problems:

1. There is too much redundancy in the parameters, some of the complex parameters can be constructed via variables in the template instead.
2. the logs/metrics admin name is hard coded in the template

Expected Behavior

1. no redundancy in input parameters
2. no hard coded values
