Plateau 2025: FL interface issue when using MS-Edge with long entity names not wrapping

hello @strogonoff the client has sent another issue about FL use in MS-Edge

in this image you can see one of the entity names "RiverFloodingRiskAttr....." extending off the page and not wrapping.

if you could have a look at this, though it is not a priority like the other issues and GHA deployment problems. thank you.

I see the issue but not sure how to address it, since it does not manifest itself in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

I added a style rule which may or may not fix it, not sure what to do if it doesn’t.

I would also ask to check this in Edge on a Windows machine that is not set to Japanese locale, if you have the ability to do so. Knowing that this word break related issue is related to Japanese-only locale would help.

thank you @strogonoff my version of MS-Edge is the newest release, albeit using that on win 10. the client is using windows 11 with MS-Edge, i would assume newest version but in a corporate environment, i am not sure what policies the admin has set. i also noticed that this did not appear on FFox. i did not check with Chrome.

@AIS-RyoMukai would you please check the version of MS-Edge that you recorded the video on and perhaps it will give a bit more information. thank you.

As far as I understand, Edge on Windows 10 still receives updates, so presumably that should not be a problem (though I am curious whether the problem persists on Windows 11).

We will sort out some way of testing on Edge, but it will take a bit of time.

I’m not sure what I can do either way though, without affecting word break behavior in surrounding text. These identifiers are part of surrounding text and do not have their own elements, so I cannot easily control how these identifiers wrap without making Japanese text wrap in the middle of the word.
