Newest Bazzite breaks PowerControl!

this is what comes up when i run that command while on latest version of Bazzite and v3.5.1 of PowerControl.

no compatible ryzen_smu kernel module found, fallback to /dev/mem
CPU Family: Strix Point
SMU BIOS Interface Version: 21
Version: v0.18.0
Unable to get memory access
Unable to init power metric table: -5, this does not affect adjustments because it is only needed for monitoring.

FYI i rolled back to the Nov 2nd release of Bazzite and it works. If i boot latest again, it doesn't work and i get the errors above.

What device is it? Could it be that it only affected monitoring? Is the TDP setting feature actually working fine?
Or try checking whether the kernel parameters differ between the two sys versions: cat /proc/cmdline

Same "unable to get memory access" log shown after running ryzenadj -i here on GPD Win Mini 2025 8840U with Bazzite; however, on my device the PowerControl plugin interface would just be blank or that loading animation with Steam logo.

And I ran into an extra issue.... I reduced clock speed to ~1200MHz for a 2D pixel game's profile, yet after quitting the game, Gamescope main menu became extremely unresponsive with CPU running at 100% but consuming less than 2 to 3W of power. I assume it was caused by per-game profile not being undone on exit. Deleting the plugin and rebooting solves it. Previously everything was working fine. :(

Btw, would someone please recommend an alternative plugin/daemon/etc. for limiting CPU clock speed? I could use it to save around 1 extra watt on lighter games....

It doesn't seem to be caused by kernel parameters. That's strange.

I gave up on it months ago. Did something get actively changed to address the issue? If so I may try to install it again…

The error in the system info does not affect functionality at least not on my 8840U device. There have been a lot of fixes here and in Bazzite so maybe it just works now? It would be just cool to close the issue here if it's not relevant anymore.

@Elduderinoca hey, what about the latest Bazzite versions? I am currently updating but I have not seen any crashes before but I disabled TDP settings in HHD.
