Competitor Elapsed or Running Time from Start Time

I'm not sure if this calculated field is there but I couldn't see it.
I am looking for an elapsed/running time from the start time (Start time minus current time).
If no start time, then blank.

The start time could be from a drawn start list or from a radio control at the start.

I guess what you really want is the current time. If finish time is zero, then use current time. Subtract start time from that

Erik, current time less start time. This enables us to use a radio control at the start and display it in a list. Good for safety and creating interest.

In reply to Eric: In #114, you hint that simple arithmetic can be done on available fields to calculate "results" per competitor in custom results modules (I've never attempted to write one, so asking a guru).
Could a custom result module be able to create Martin's required 'running time' field as a result available to be used in reports?
Can there be more than 1 result type made available per competitor from custom results? eg. 'running time' & 'finish time'. [My guess is maybe yes, because for a Rogaine, a team has both 'score' and 'time' results per competitor].
Is 'current time' available to a custom results module?

The 'running time' algorithm could be something like:

• if competitor hasn't started yet (either radio start control, or predefined start time/mass start time, = 0:00
• if competitor has started but not finished = current time - start time
• if competitor has finished = normal result elapsed time
• if a competitor has downloaded but not finished (DNF), freeze running time at download time (I guess?)
  Note unless finish control is also a radio control, MeOS won't know a competitor has finished till they download, so potentially 'running time' will keep going up till they get around to downloading, and then snap back to their actual run time once they download.

I'm thinking such a 'running time' number must already be available to an Announcer. Just not in a report, yet?

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a field that contains current time.

WRONG - The current time is in the field LocalTime

However it seems that competitor data does not flow through the custom results module before data has been downloaded, so it cannot be used to compute interim data. @bruceperson, contact me directly at erict at powersoft dot ca
