Would it make sense to introduce TextArray?

I would like to have the same as StringArray but for TEXT[].
Would it make sense to introduce a new type for it?
Are there any limitations?
So far, the implementation seems to me the same as for VARCHAR[].

I'm pretty sure that VARCHAR and TEXT are aliases in PostgreSQL.
