This seems to have been a one-off issue, possibly even a bug with Windows 11 rather than AppGroup, as I'm unable to reproduce it, but thought I'd mention it.
Upon exiting AppGroup through the the system tray right click context menu ended the explorer.exe process.
Usually explorer.exe will restart automatically upon crashing in my experience, but in this case I had to manually start explorer.exe to get my desktop back.
I don't have a recording of the issue occurring as I haven't reproduced it, but here is a recording of me exiting AppGroup with no issue:

On Windows 11 Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8328), with AppGroup v1.5.0.
