How to pass stringified json object into command params?

I need to pass into cmd a parameter as stringified json like this:

a-cmd --body "{\"id\":\"01828975\",\"params\":[{\"param1\":1,\"param2\":2}]}" 

try to write

const obj = JSON.stringify({ id: "01828975", params :[{ param1:1, param2:2 }]});
await $`a-cmd --body "${obj}"`

but got

a-cmd --body "{"id":"01828975","params":[{"param1":1,"param2":2}]}"

which is wrong
