This app has come so far since it was first launched. The new voice model, offline version, etc. Its awesome.

I would love to a see mode that is voice only, by holding a key, that can see my screen, then chat back and forth on what we see. Yes it will use more tokens but it will feel very natural. The regular mode can still be triggered, but this mode will have its own advantages.

Honest answer: a live voice-loop mode with screen vision is genuinely a great idea, but it doesn't fit AIPointer's shape. AIPointer is built around the single-shot overlay loop, ask, get an answer, done. A continuous voice conversation needs a fundamentally different architecture (real-time speech-to-speech models, streaming screen capture, session state), and bolting that on would break the lightweight feel that makes AIPointer what it is.

This request, it's where Skales (skalesapp/skales) is heading. v11 is shipping with voice features as a core direction, and a hold-to-talk live mode with screen awareness is on the roadmap there. AIPointer stays the quick keyboard companion. If a live voice agent is what you want, Skales is the right home for it.

Keeping this open as a "considered but not the right product" reference so others can find the reasoning.
