Since the Game Gear Micro systems have a way to add CFW and inject more games into them, is there a way to extract the stock games from all four systems? Each GG Micro has four different games, for a total of 16.

These systems were only available in Japan, but are they worth importing just to extract the stock games? We'll have to wait and see.

There is a way, yes. Also, there is a white model with Aleste games. I have extracted the stock firmware from all five colors. Aside from GG Aleste 3, all the extracted games work in emulators. The extraction process is just like the cfw process, except you read the flash partitions out and save them to your modern PC without overwriting them. The partition images can then be loopback-mounted under Linux, and the files inspected. Tools for extracting M2-style asset archives are useful for pulling out the individual games.

Some games got changed relative to cartridge versions, for instance the two player link cable mode was removed from Game Gear Puyo Puyo 2/Tsuu found on the black (dark grey) version
