ok, so let me write here the important things and we can talk at any time if you have doubts:
The data we use is from CAMELS, so you need to use the Subfind catalogs. Take a look at this: https://camels.readthedocs.io/en/latest/subfind.html

The data can be either accessed or downloaded from here: https://camels.readthedocs.io/en/latest/data_access.html

The code we used is here: https://github.com/PabloVD/CosmoGraphNet and there you can also see how to read the galaxies and how to take care of the periodic boundary conditions that is important.
