Please fix security

When using brakeman (http://brakemanscanner.org/) to test this repo, it's yielding 28 security warnings.

I have a much more recent fork of this code, hosted here:
https://bitbucket.org/tmartinx/bitfication.git

I would like to push it back to github, here:
https://github.com/tmartinx/bitfication but I dont know how to do that
(solve conflicts while merging)...
