Change in Font, size, Allignment, color and check mark are not reflecting in the dialog box

Change in Font, size, Alignment, color and check mark are not reflecting in the dialog box. However, if we continue to type, changes takes place. The user should see first that there is a change in font, size etc. before typing not after.

Please help me.........
