Prefered way to cite Camelot?

Is there a Bibtex or Citation.cff file I can use to cite this project? Thanks.

I don't see a CITATION.cff file in the repository currently. GitHub supports repository citations through a root-level CITATION.cff, which can also generate BibTeX automatically.

I'd be happy to open a PR adding one if that would be useful. If there is a preferred paper, DOI, or citation format for Camelot, I can include that as the preferred citation metadata.

this should enable GitHubs built-in citation support and provide a standard way for users to cite Camelot

Thanks for asking! There wasn't one, so I've opened #840 to add a CITATION.cff — once it merges, GitHub shows a "Cite this repository" button on the repo homepage with APA/BibTeX export.

In the meantime, here's a BibTeX entry you can use:

Adjust version/year to the release you used (camelot.__version__).

Correction: the canonical PR for this is #829 (by @Mohataseem89, which came first) — I've closed my duplicate #840 in its favour. Same outcome: once #829 merges you'll get the "Cite this repository" button, and the BibTeX above works in the meantime.
