HTTP Return Code: 202

Hello, we are running Bread 2.9.15. It has been working fine. Today, we are now getting an error connecting to our BMLT server: https://meetings.naworks.org/main_server/

We get an error when attempting to access a PDF,
https://meetinglists.gprna.org/?current-meeting-list=2

Just got off a long chat with support at SiteGround, they assure us the domain and IP of the WordPress site is NOT blocked.

We also tried using the Tomato server, it works fine but we prefer to use our own server

Oddly, we also host cleanacresna.org on our Siteground account and their access to our server is working fine, they are also using 2.9.15

The tech support at Siteground said we are connecting fine, but the plugin is failing before the PDF is created. Not sure why that would happen ONLY for our meetinglists.gprna.org when trying to use https://meetings.naworks.org/main_server/

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like your hosting provider has blocked communication with whatever provider your BMLT Server is running on, but not aggregator. Quickest solution would probably be to move to aggregator. However, if you'd like to help, you can test my new beta. It adds a shortcode, you use it like this [bread_button current_meeting_list=3]. It inserts a button on your page, that should work even if communication between the servers is blocked. Similarly, the backend also works without direct communication between servers. You would really be helping if you tested the beta: https://github.com/bmlt-enabled/bread/releases/download/2.10.0-beta1/bread.zip

By the way, I think you must have saved your configuration while you were experiencing these communication problems, because the configuration doesn't contain any service bodies. Be sure to set at least one before testing further.

the 2.10.0-beta1 mostly worked. I had to change the layout of the page. The old button does not work any longer, but using the new short code worked for Bucks County Area. https://meetinglists.gprna.org/

Do prefer the old way the Extra Meetings appeared. This was 2.9.15, shows Name, Day, Time, ASC...

This is with the beta 1, shows name, time, city

Is there a way to add a description to the Button rather than just "Generate PDF"?

The Bucks Area is working, but not all the links... like Clean Acres

Also, the lists that use a custom query are not...

Using the new shortcode, still gives an error

I wonder if InMotionHosting is blocking the URL? I should reach out to them.

I will adjust the way extra meetings are displayed in the next beta.

You can adjust the button text in the shortcode using the attribute "label", like this: [bread_button label="Hello World!" current_meeting_list=1]. In the next beta I will add an ID and class so that the button can be styled.

I haven't been able to recreate the problem with custom queries. Can you send me the link to the page with the bread-button on it? Then I can do a little analysis what is going wrong.

Ok, now ALL the new buttons are working. Beta1 is still installed. The traditional links are also now working. The one thing I did change was memory_limit in the PHP ini. I changed it from 128M to 256M. Nothing happened right away, so I did not think it helped. Was busy with work, so figured I would get on a chat with support today. Checked late last night before bed and noticed all the links were working and wanted to wait till this morning to make sure they were still working.

I just downloaded Beta2 again direct from the Github. Same error as above, "The link you followed has expired."

Yes, I see that the direct links to bread (really, from bread to the BMLT server) seem to be going through without generating a 202. i don't think this has anything to do with increasing memory, but bread does use lots of memory so more memory doesn't hurt. In any case, if the links are working, they are more efficient than using the shortcode/button. So we can just close this issue as not needing any further action, and if the 202 comes back, deal with it then. Hopefully, the button stuff will be out of beta by then.

When I click on the beta2 link above, bread downloads just fine. And the image you posted looks like it comes from Wordpress. Does the problem occur by downloading from Github or by uploading to your server?

I am ok closing the 202 issue here.

I like the button shortcode. Will leave it for now since it was a lot of work to set them up. Will look forward to being able to use CSS to format the buttons.

I am able to download the bread.zip for BETA2 fine. That expired link error is when trying to upload in WorPress. We are using WP 7.0 on that site. Using the Upload Plugin feature

This is the error that appears when clicking "Install Now"

Not sure if this is another issue on our host side or what. The BETA1 uploaded fine. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist in the beta development. If it might be our hosting provider, or WP 7.0... let me know what info I can seek to assist.

Beta2 is only very slightly larger than Beta1. Strange that one uploads when the other doesn't...

You can style the buttons in your style.css (or whereever your theme allows customizations) by selecting the class "bread_button".

Upload worked, then I saw this...

I was able to go to the Upgrade tab and click "Upgrade Network" and got a success message

Seems to work when not logged into WP.
