Companion 4.3.4 hangs on Windows 11- "Waiting for websrever / Unknown #4286

Description

@les3pe

Make sure you're on the latest stable or beta build

  • I have tested this on the latest stable or beta release

Is this a bug in companion itself or a module?

  • I believe this to be a bug in companion and not a specific module

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Describe the bug

Companion 4.3.4, Windows 11. Upgraded from Companion 2.1.3. Launcher starts. Status remains "Waiting for web server -Unknown". GUI never becomes available. Stream deck buttons remain blank. Companion never reaches running state.`

Steps To Reproduce

Install Companion 4.3.4 on Windows 11.
Launch Companion
Wait for Launcher to initialize.
Observe that the status remains "Waiting for web server -Unknown".
The web GUI never becomes available.
The Windows Event Viewer Log shows ID 1002 (Application Hang) for Companion.exe.
netstat confirms no process is listening on the configured Companion HHTP port 8000 or 8888 or 8484.

Expected Behavior

Companion should start normally, launch the embedded web server and make the GUI available.

Environment (please complete the following information)

- Companion Version:4.3.4.0
- OS: Windows 11, version 25H2 (build 26200.8655)
- Browser:149.0.7827.156, official build (64-bit)

Additional context

This is a production Windows 11 PC used weekly for live streamed church services.
The previous installation 2.3.1 functioned correctly with the same hardware (Stream Deck, Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K, PTZOptics cameras, and AJA Helo).
If there is a startup log, debug mode, or diagnostic procedure that would help identify where Companion hangs, I would happy to provide additional information.
