Include dirs not shown in filesview after backup (1.6.1, Ubuntu, root-mode)

Backintime 1.6.1 has recently been installed on a new harddisk running Ubuntu 26.04. Various backup profiles on different drives are working fine, except for one which is a NAS accessed through SSH. Regular backups have been done as scheduled successfully. However, the Backup directories do not show up. Previously they can show up. The backups are using the root mode. What may be the sources of the issue?

I miss some information. From your description the situation isn't clear to me.

What do you mean by "previously"? What was the situation before? Tell me more about the backup profile that does not work. Please post the output of backintime --diagnostics.

Thank you for your reply!

The whole Back In Time setup together with various profiles on different
drives were working fine, including the one in question, before the
installation of Back In Time itself on a new drive.

Previously, all the backup directories were shown the Shortcuts window.
But after the new installation, they are shown under the right most
window, and only those under /root are shown under the Shortcuts window.
This is workable though less convenient than the previous.

However, for the SSH remote drive, the backup directories are not shown
on the right most window.

I had to edit and re-post your last comment because of bugs in Microsoft's GitHub. Please try not to answer via email because GitHub does not handle that well.

I still don't know what your problem is because your description is to broad. Be specific and detailed, but short.

"Drives"? Please define. You don't install BIT in on a drive. Profiles on different drives? This would mean that you have multiple BIT configurations (using --config option?). I doubt that. Be specific.

Be aware that I invest my free time in helping you! Help me to help you! Otherwise ask the community at the mailing list or in the Ubuntu forums.

What is a "backup directory"? The backup destination path you setup in the first TAB of the Manage Profiles dialog? One of the include directories you setup in the Include TAB?

Let me clarify in simple terms:
One Back In Time installation --> more than one profile configured --> each profile backups on different drives --> OK before new installation.

The following is one profile without problem:

"home", "kctcl" and "root" are listed in the right most window. They are the same as those defined in the Include page. Previously, they were listed in the middle Shortcuts window, not in the right most window.

The following is another profile with problem:

"home", "kctcl" and "root" are NOT listed in the right most window, ALTHOUGH they are defined in the Include page. This is the problem.

What was previously installed? The same BIT version or an older one?

Doe backups running without errors in this profile?
Did you checked the destination directory if "home", "kctcl" and "root" are included in the latest backup, no matter if they are shown in BIT's file view or not?
