the project currently doesn't build from npm install due to the URI which contains the outdated git protocol (https://github.blog/2021-09-01-improving-git-protocol-security-github/#no-more-unauthenticated-git).
Please, update the dependencies in package.json from "istanbul": "git://github.com/benderjs/istanbul.git" to "istanbul": "https://github.com/benderjs/istanbul.git".
