On MacOS: Uncaught exception: TypeError [ERR_UNKNOWN_FILE_EXTENSION]

Installed via npm, then running claude-trace returns:

Uncaught exception: TypeError [ERR_UNKNOWN_FILE_EXTENSION]: Unknown file extension ".exe" for /usr/local/lib/node_modules/@anthropic-ai/claude-code/bin/claude.exe

Tried workarounds: creating a .js symlink pointing to claude.exe, and patching resolveToJsFile() to replace .exe → .js. Both fail because Node's ESM loader follows the symlink back to the real claude.exe at spawn time.
Root cause: claude.exe is a 215MB native binary, not a JS file. claude-trace uses node --require interceptor.js claude.js to launch it, but Node can't load a native binary this way regardless of the filename.
Suggest using the shell wrapper from which claude as the spawn target instead of resolving to the underlying binary.
